Product guidance is a routine part of OB/GYN care. Providers recommend prenatal support, postpartum recovery products, supplements, and other items patients need following a visit.
But the moment patients leave the practice, that guidance often becomes disconnected from the care experience. Patients turn to online resources, retail marketplaces, handwritten notes, or crowded store aisles to figure out what their provider meant.
A five-provider OB/GYN practice in the Mid-Atlantic began using Wrapped's athena integration to make that handoff easier. Providers could send patients the exact products they recommended, through an experience that remained connected to the practice and its brand.
What we measured
We measured the recommendation journey from the moment the provider opened Wrapped to the moment the patient completed a purchase.
24 seconds for a more modern care experience
On average, it took 24 seconds from opening Wrapped in the patient chart to the secure recommendation link arriving on the patient's phone.
A purchase in under a minute
After opening the link, patients typically completed their purchase in less than 60 seconds. They did not need to search for the product, compare similar options, download an app, or re-enter what their provider had recommended.
A 55% purchase rate
Of the patients who were sent a checkout link, 55% completed a purchase. Because the recommendation came directly from the practice and carried its branding, the next step in the patient journey stayed connected to the clinic rather than shifting to a generic search or retail experience.
Why these results matter
Providers know what's best for their patients. The challenge is making that guidance easy to act on after the visit.
Without a clear handoff, patients forget what was discussed, buy the wrong product, or delay starting their care plan. Many contact the practice for clarification on what they need, which creates friction for patients and avoidable work for providers and staff.
Wrapped gives practices a faster way to complete the recommendation while the patient is still engaged.
The workflow behind the results
Nothing about the clinical visit changed. While speaking with the patient, the provider opened Wrapped from athena and sent the patient what they needed in just one click. The patient was then able to purchase through our retail partners, with same-day delivery.
Wrapped gave providers a faster, more reliable way to turn clinical guidance into patient action, without adding operational work for the practice.
The result
The practice made its everyday product recommendations easier for patients to follow without creating a new workflow for providers.
Just as importantly, the patient's next step remained connected to the clinic. Instead of leaving the care experience to search independently and guess which product was intended, patients received a clear, branded recommendation directly from the practice they already trusted.
